BetPARX runs in Michigan under a license issued to Gun Lake Casino — one of the 12 federally recognized tribal licenses in the state, alongside the three commercial casino licenses held by MGM Grand Detroit, MotorCity Casino, and Hollywood Casino at Greektown. That puts BetPARX firmly in the legal column, regulated by the Michigan Gaming Control Board just like every other book in the state. As of 2026 there are 14 licensed online sportsbooks live in Michigan, and BetPARX is one of them. Before you sign up anywhere, check Is Sports Betting Legal in Michigan? What welcome offer does BetPARX have in Michigan right now?
Here's the honest truth: only about 8 of the 13–14 licensed Michigan sportsbooks are running active welcome bonuses at any given time, and BetPARX sits on the smaller end of the promotional spectrum compared with juggernauts like BetMGM or DraftKings. The book doesn't splash a $1,500 first-bet insurance offer across billboards. What it does offer can still be worth grabbing as part of a multi-book sign-up run — because you're allowed to claim welcome bonuses from multiple sportsbooks simultaneously in Michigan, one per brand. Just don't expect BetPARX to top the value charts on raw dollar amount. Availability and terms on any welcome offer can change, so verify directly in the app before depositing. Must be 21+ and physically located in Michigan to participate. Gambling problem? Call 1-800-GAMBLER.
How does BetPARX stack up against other Michigan sportsbooks?
Size matters when you're shopping promos. BetPARX is a regional book punching in a market dominated by national brands. Here's how it compares on a few concrete attributes sourced from current operator data:
| Sportsbook | License Partner (MI) | Welcome Offer Type | Max Bonus Value | Promo Code Required |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| BetPARX | Gun Lake Casino | Varies — verify in app | Not publicly listed at scale | Verify in app |
| BetMGM | MGM Grand Detroit | First-bet insurance (bonus bets if first bet loses) | Up to $1,500 in bonus bets | CBSSPORTS |
| DraftKings | Tribal partner | Bet & Get (win not required) | $200 in bonus bets for $5 bet | None required |
| Hard Rock Bet | Tribal partner | Varies — launched Dec 2025 | Verify in app | Verify in app |
For context on BetMGM's offer specifically, see BetMGM Michigan Promo Code CBSSPORTS: Up to $1,500 in Bonus Bets. And if you want to see how a newer tribal-licensed entrant is handling its launch promos, the Hard Rock Bet Michigan Promo Review is worth a read — Hard Rock only went live in Michigan in December 2025, so it's still in early-promotion mode.
Is BetPARX worth downloading if you already have the big apps?
As a line-shopping tool, yes. Michigan's 8.4% operator tax rate is one of the lowest in the country, which gives every licensed book — including smaller ones like BetPARX — structural room to offer competitive odds. Holding an account at BetPARX alongside three or four bigger books means you can compare prices on any given Lions, Wolverines, or Red Wings bet before committing. Over a full season, that adds up. Just don't expect BetPARX's promotional calendar to match what you'll find on the full Best Michigan Sportsbook Promos Ranked for 2026 rundown, where the bigger national operators compete aggressively for new depositors every week.
